Kaarme – Unlike many other scholarship search and information sites, this one requires no registration and no contact or personal information.
Scholarship Experts – It’s no accident we’re listing Scholarship Experts first. They are one of the best, most comprehensive free online scholarship searches available to students, parents, and educators.
ScholarshipMonkey – claims a data base of one million scholarships with a value in excess of $3.5 billion. If that’s not enough reason to give this site a shot, how often do you get a monkey to talk to you?
CareerInfoNet - This site, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor, has a searchable data base containing more than 5,000 scholarships, fellowships, loans, and other financial aid opportunities.
AdventuresinEducation – Students can conduct a keyword search of a data base containing 10,000 scholarships
Arkansas Scholarship Connection – The Arkansas Scholarship Connection is a statewide project of the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund. Their data base contains scholarships for which Arkansas students are eligible.
BrokeScholar – BrokeScholar has a data base with more than 650,000 scholarships with a total value of more than $2.5 billion.
CareersandCollegesUsing data provided by Wintergreen Orchard House, their data base includes 1.7 million scholarships worth a total of $7 billion.
College Answer – Sponsored by SallieMae, they use the Scholarship Experts data base.
CollegeBoard Scholarship Search – The College Board’s free scholarship search utilizes a database of more than 2,300 sources of college funding totaling almost $3 billion in scholarships and aid.
CollegeData – This free scholarship search allows students to save results in a “data locker”.
CollegeFunds – Their website says, “CollegeFunds.net helps you hunt down the most ideal student loan, scholarships and other financial aid resources available to you!”
Nelnet College Planning – A college planning site which includes a free scholarship finder.
College Connection Scholarships – This service provides free scholarship searches and personalized scholarship application letters.
CollegeToolKit -These folks allow you to search for scholarships by geography, heritage, religion, extracurriculars, family affiliation, high school, or scholarship name.
Discover Nursing Scholarship Search – If you are or will be studying nursing, give this free scholarship search a try. You will probably find more nursing scholarships here than in any other source.
eCampusTours – The eCampusTours search uses a database of more than 10,000 scholarship programs that distribute awards worth more than $36 million.
EducationPlanner – An online scholarship search provided by the folks from Peterson’s Guide.
Financial Aid Officer – This free scholarship search engine lists scholarships worth $1.45 billion.
FastAid – These folks say they are, “The World’s largest and oldest private sector scholarship database.
FastWeb – We don’t like these folks and would therefore not recommend them, but we want to list all free scholarship searches on this site so we reluctantly included them.
financialaid – Much like or perhaps identical to the SRN scholarship search tool.
FindTuition – This free scholarship search site lists $24 billion in scholarships.
FreeScholarshipGuide - These folks offer an online scholarship search and a free downloadable scholarship guide.
FreeScholarshipInfo - There’s not much descriptive information on this search site, so we can only offer you a link to it.
FreeScholarshipSearch - This site doesn’t list as many scholarships as some sites, but it’s very well done and lists some awards not often found elsewhere.
GoCollege – Their search encompasses 800,000 individual awards worth over $2.8 billion in scholarships, and they say they maintain a strict privacy policy.
Illinois Mentor – This scholarship finder is sponsored by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission but is available to all current or college-bound students.
ImmediateScholarships – In about 30 seconds this site will match students to scholarships worth between $500 and $50,000
InternationalScholarships – This scholarship search is fairly unique because it features scholarships for international students and scholarships for study abroad programs.
Joint Academic Scholarship Online Network – The introduction on their website says, “The scholarships in the database apply to Australian students wishing to study at home or abroad, and to international students wishing to study in Australia.”
Kalamazoo Community Foundation Scholarship Search – Specifically designed to meet the needs of Kalamazoo area residents seeking scholarship information.
KentuckyScholarshipSearch The State of Kentucky sponsors the free scholarship search.
MaineScholarshipSearch State of Maine sponsors this online scholarship search.
Maryland Higher Education Commission Although sponsored by the State of Maryland, this search may be helpful to other students as well.
Military.com – This site claims to help students find, “millions of dollars in scholarships and grants exclusively for the military community”.
myfreedegree – Their database contains, “billions of dollars of college scholarships and financial aid awards”, including some for bowlers, knitters, “C” students, cartoonists, etc.
NextStudent – According to their site, they give you free access to a database “of more than 42,000 college funding sources comprised of more than 2.4 million individually awarded scholarships valued at over 3.4 billion dollars.
Scholarship Central – This Thomson-Peterson’s scholarship search includes 1.7 million awards valued at approximately $8 billion.
The Scholarship Page – Started by a student in 1997, this site primarily featured engineering scholarships, but has since expanded to include others.
Scholarships.com – This site claims a “scholarship database of 3,0000 sources worth up to $3 billion.”
Scholarships101 – A listing of over 800,000 individual scholarship awards valued at more than $2.8 billion.
ScholarshipsCanada – These folks call their site “Canada’s most comprehensive scholarship portal”.
CanLearn – Another Canadian free scholarship search site.
Hotcourses-Student Money – A UK based scholarship search.
ScholarSite – Their introduction reads, “Welcome to ScholarSite.com, the site that allows you to search for scholastic financial aid quickly and accurately, without forcing you to lose time and privacy by entering personal information.”
School Soup – Their scholarship data base lists $32 billion in scholarships.
StudentAidontheWeb – A U.S. Department of Education sponsored free online scholarship search.
Study Abroad Funding – Their website says, “Our comprehensive database of study abroad scholarships, fellowships, and grants can help make your dream of studying abroad a financial possibility and a profound reality.” Scholarship searches can be conducted by country or subject.
SuperCollege – An online scholarship search sponsored by Harvard educated folks who publish books on college planning.
Study Abroad Search – This scholarship locator service is sponsored by UNESCO, a part of the United Nations.
United Negro College Fund Scholarship Search – A free online scholarship search sponsored by the United Negro College Fund.
CollegeNet/Mach 25 – Allows you to search through 600,000 awards for scholarship matches.
Nationally Coveted Scholarships and Fellowships – Not really a scholarship match program but a very good site that lists undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral awards.
International Education Financial Aid – The IEFA website was created to be a resource for financial aid, college scholarship and grant information for US and international students wishing to study abroad.
ClubScholarship.com – Part of the Collegiatefunding.com network, ClubScholarships lists more than 500,000 awards to which students can seek a match.
Pacific Northwest Scholarship Guide – A free online scholarship match program maintained by the nonprofit College Planning Network, serving students of the Pacific Northwest.
National Data Base of Scholarships – This free scholarship search sites claims to list scholarships worth more than 10 billion dollars.


U.S. Department of Homeland Security Scholarship

Description
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security Scholarship Program is available to undergraduate students who are majoring in physical sciences, mathematical sciences, computer and information sciences, agricultural and life sciences, social sciences, psychology, selected humanities or engineering. You must be a U.S. citizen, have not earned a bachelor’s degree by the application deadline, and have a minimum 3.3 GPA to be eligible for this award. Full-time students must be in their second year of college at the time of application, and part-time students must have completed at least 45 but no more than 60 semester hours (60 to 75 quarter hours) as of the application deadline. This is a two-year program and you are required to complete a 10-week, continuous, off-campus research internship at a DHS-designated facility during the summer between your first and second year appointments. This award provides full-tuition and mandatory college fees, as well as $1,000/month for nine months during the academic year and $5,000 for the summer internship.

Intel Science Talent Search

Description
The Intel Science Talent Search is open to especially talented high school seniors who have completed independent science research projects and wish to pursue careers in science, math, engineering and medicine. To be eligible for this award, you must attend secondary school: (a) in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Wake and Midway Islands and the Marianas; or (b), if you are a U.S. citizen, in a Department of Defense Dependents School, an accredited overseas American or International School or in a foreign school as an exchange student or because your parent(s) work and live abroad. Award requirements include that you complete college entrance qualifications before October 1 and submit the official STS Entry Form and a written description, of no more than 20 pages, of your research. Research must be the work of a single individual; group and team projects are not eligible. 300 semifinalists will receive awards of $1000, of whom 30 will be named finalists and receive $5000. Ten of the finalists will then be chosen to receive awards ranging from $20,000 to a first place prize of $100,000.

US Physics Team

Description
The US Physics Team promotes and demonstrates academic excellence through preparation and participation in the International Physics Olympiad. The American Association of Physics Teachers sponsors this physics program to encourage students’ understanding of an exciting range of topics within the very wide field of physics through competition and courses embracing both theory and experiment. This selection process begins in early January of each year when high school teachers nominate their best students in a national exam. Top students are selected for the semi-final round. A second set of tests, student transcripts, and letters of recommendation are used as the basis for selection of the final 24 members of the U.S. Physics Team. These students, representing schools from all over the United States, travel to the University of Maryland-College Park at the end of May for the annual U.S. Physics Team Training Camp. At the end of the training camp, five students are chosen to represent the United States at the International Physics Olympiad (IPO) held at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

JW Saxe Memorial Prize

The J.W. Saxe Memorial Fund provides scholarships annually to one or more undergraduate or graduate students working in public service. The award is meant to enable the student to gain practical experience in public service by taking a no-pay or low-pay job during a summer or other term. All contributions since the Fund’s inception have been used solely for prizes, none for overhead or administration. Expenses of the Fund are borne by volunteer members of the Board of Directors, who are the Fund’s only staff and whose homes are its only offices.
